**Position Description**:
As an Administrative Assistant/Receptionist, you will be responsible for greeting people, answering telephone calls, and providing administrative work for our new and existing clients. Working independently, you will demonstrate exceptional communication and customer service skills to bring in new clients to Avaal Technology Solutions.
**Responsibilities**:
- Greet customers
- Answer telephone calls and enquiries
- Process IFTA Quarterly filings, IRP renewals, IFTA renewals and SCAC renewals
- Communicate directly with our clients and government officials (both Canadian and US);
- Advise clients on the government authorities and permits needed to set up a trucking company;
- Advise clients on various government regulations;
- Scheduling the renewal of required permits;
- Present a positive company image in all internal and external contacts;
- Other duties as assigned
**Requirements**:
- University degree/college diploma in business administration or a related field;
- 2-5 years of experience, preferably in the transportation or technology industry;
- A strong customer service background;
- Assertiveness, confidence, enthusiasm, and exceptional work ethic;
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills;
- Ability to work independently and in small teams;
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
- Detail orientated
