We are seeking an Art Studio Assistant to join our team

We are currently expanding our scope to e-learning in addition to offline instruction. We are looking for an Assistant who can contribute fully to both our online and in-person endeavors.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Contribute to both our in-person studio and our online academy
- Event planning (annual exhibitions, in-studio Parent Learning Hub, field trips)
- Facilitating collaborations between Young Guns and external artists
- Outreach (fostering local vendor / non-profit / community connections)
- Talent recruitment
- Location scouting (research and liaise with possible venues)
- Preparing for projects (set up, procuring supplies)
- Copywriting (blog posts, social media, project proposals)
- Content Creation - Collaborate with our marketing team to generate content (TikTok, IG reels, etc)
- Assist with video production and editing
- Directly assist the Director with new initiatives

**JOB POSITION QUALIFICATIONS**
- Have a background in Design or Fine Arts through post-secondary training or relative work experience
- Work well in a collaborative setting
- Strong communicator
- Proactive and self-motivating
- Patient and reflective
- Energetic and enthusiastic
- Consistently strong execution and follow-through

*Will require a criminal record check upon hiring

**Strongly recommended but not required**:

- Videography and editing skills
- DSLR camera and documentation photography skills
- Familiarity with Adobe Suite: e.g. Photoshop / Illustrator / InDesign / Premiere Pro
- Familiarity with Miro
- Experience working with youth and teens
- Work experience in educational settings
- Content creation
- Copywriting

**POSITION SCHEDULE**
- Part time (3-4 shifts per week depending on availability)
- 4 hr shifts on weekdays (Mon-Thurs)
- 5 hr shifts on weekends (Sat-Sun)

*There is a probationary period of 3 months to gauge if the applicant is a right fit for our studio

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-30 per week

**Salary**: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
