Verge Technologies is seeking an **Account Executive** based out head office in Dartmouth, NS. The role of the **Account Executive** is to assist the company in acquiring new customers while growing business within existing accounts. This specific position will have focus on Security & Life-Safety solutions and ProAV technology for clients across Nova Scotia. The **Account Executive** is a **‘hunter’** sales role whose primary function is to uncover new opportunities, strengthen relationships within existing accounts, and advise our client base on technical solutions that will help them compete better through the use of Verge-specific technology.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Meet or exceed sales revenues and gross profits targets
- Working within the assigned verticals and target markets, the Account Executive is to actively prospect to uncover and develop new business opportunities
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients
- Build and maintain relationships with technology manufacturers
- Conduct needs/requirements assessments and provide solutions that meet customer expectations
- Complete functional designs of technical solutions to meet the customers requirements
- Maintain active certifications, knowledge and training within relevant technologies
- Promote the company’s products/services to new and existing accounts
- Conduct client presentations/training/demonstrations as required
- Attend and participate in industry events, trade shows and client functions
- Develop quotes and proposals that are complete, accurate, and profitable
- Maintain timely and accurate records and reporting within various CRM and tracking tools
- Work closely with Solution Design, Operations and Field teams to ensure successful deployment and delivery of client projects/solutions
- Any and all other functions assigned by management

**Experience Required**:

- Minimum 5 years of solution-based selling one or more related industries; ProAV, Communications Cabling, Security & Life Safety
- Familiarity and experience in selling into all levels of government
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed throughout the province
- Be able to pass a criminal record check
- Post secondary education considered an asset
- CTS, PSP, Etc Certifications (or another industry-appropriate accreditations) considered an asset

**Additional Requirements**:

- Valid driver’s licence; reasonable driver abstract
- Willingness to work overtime
- Travel throughout Atlantic Canada may be required
