**Position Overview**:
The Director of Career College Administration will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the college, ensuring smooth delivery of academic programs, student recruitment, financial management, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role is ideal for someone with a proven track record of success in career college administration, recruitment, and managing government-sponsored programs, including Employment Insurance (EI) and other adult education initiatives. The Director will play a pivotal role in the continued growth and success of the institution.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Leadership & Strategy**:
- Lead the overall administration of the career college, overseeing staff, faculty, and students.
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure high standards of academic delivery and student support.
- Work closely with the Executive Team to align institutional goals and objectives with operational plans.
- **Student Recruitment & Enrollment**:
- Lead recruitment efforts to attract a diverse and motivated student body.
- Develop marketing and outreach programs, including partnerships with local businesses and employment agencies.
- Manage the admissions process, ensuring a seamless experience for prospective students.
- **Government Programs & Compliance**:
- Administer and manage government-sponsored funding programs, including Employment Insurance (EI) and other grants.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and provincial regulations, accreditation standards, and funding requirements.
- Maintain relationships with government agencies to stay updated on changes in policies and regulations.
- **Program Administration & Development**:
- Oversee the delivery and continuous improvement of academic and vocational programs.
- Work with faculty and staff to ensure programs are aligned with current industry standards and meet the needs of adult learners.
- Develop and implement continuing education programs to support lifelong learning.
- **Financial Management & Budgeting**:
- Manage the annual budget, ensuring financial resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
- Oversee tuition collection, financial aid, and student payment systems.
- Track and report on the financial health of the institution, providing recommendations for improvement.
- **Stakeholder Engagement**:
- Build and maintain relationships with industry partners, employers, and community organizations to ensure job placement opportunities for graduates.
- Engage with students, staff, and faculty to foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- **Staff & Faculty Management**:
- Supervise administrative staff, faculty, and other key personnel, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Provide professional development opportunities to ensure staff remain knowledgeable about the latest industry trends and best practices.
**Qualifications**:
- **Education**:
- A Master’s degree or equivalent in education, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Additional certifications or experience related to adult education, career counseling, or government programs is an asset.
- **Experience**:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in career college administration or a related educational field.
- Proven track record of successful student recruitment, retention, and engagement.
- Strong knowledge of adult education and continuing education program administration.
- Experience managing government funding programs, including Employment Insurance (EI), grants, and other financial aid programs.
- **Skills & Attributes**:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, and government agencies.
