WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Provides administrative support to the Administrative Director and Medical Director/Chief of the Medicine and Hospitalist Program (the Program), the Department of Medicine, and the Program Managers.
The incumbent must be able to support and contribute to day-to-day functioning within the Program as well as contribute to strategic visioning and planning for the Program. This includes ability to communicate with others at various levels, develop relationships within the Health Centre and with community partners, demonstrate analytical and conceptual skills, creativity and insight, and provide leadership as appropriate. Additionally, this position acts as a resource to the Program as a whole in that the incumbent will respond appropriately to requests and inquiries and/or forward to others as indicated/when required.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
College Diploma in Office Administration and three years’ experience as an executive secretary/administrative assistant or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Previous experience in a hospital setting preferred.
WHO YOU ARE:
Excellent keyboarding skills (60 wpm)
Thorough knowledge of office procedures
Excellent working knowledge of Windows, word processing, graphic, spread sheet and E-mail programs. (MS Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook, Visio, SurveyMonkey)
Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining LearnFlex modules
Demonstrated experience developing surveys and utilizing survey development software Excellent organizational, problem solving and time management skills.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Demonstrated analytical and conceptual skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrated leadership abilities.
Demonstrated ability to achieve goals and objectives within appropriate time frames. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member.
Demonstrated ability to research information, analyse data and write reports. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
Demonstrated excellent attendance record with the ability to maintain this standard
