**Administrative Assistant**

**The Nogojiwanong Friendship Centre (NFC) is an Indigenous not-for-profit, culture and community-based organization mandated to support urban**
**Administrative Assistant (AA).**

**Position Objective and Responsibilities**

**The AA will support management in fulfilling the day-to-day administrative responsibilities as well as support program staff with administrative requirements. The AA will provide a welcoming experience for visitors; coordinate meeting room and van bookings; support records management; some social media/ website responsibilities as requested/needed, provide support to the Executive Director**
**(filing); manage inventory of assets and supplies; and more.**

**Additionally, the AA will collaborate with all staff to ensure the needs of the NFC are met and that planned NFC social and recreational activities are effectively and efficiently delivered.**

**Qualifications**:

- **Knowledge and awareness of Indigenous culture and history;**:

- **At least 1 year experience working in administration and/or customer service/ relations industry;**:

- **Must have good computer competencies, specifically with Microsoft Office 365**

**(Word, Excel, etc) and possess internet skills;**
- **Must have excellent organization and communication (written/verbal) skills, presenting a welcoming experience for visitors;**:

- **Ability to work within the established policies and procedures of the organization;**:

- **Must have the ability to work independently and as a team player, with mínimal supervision;**:

- **Must have a valid driver’s license, a reliable car and be willing to complete errands as required;**:

- **Must provide a satisfactory Criminal Reference Check (CPIC) with a Vulnerable**

**Sector Search (VSS) will be a condition of the employment offer.**

**Salary/Benefits**:up to $20.00/hour based on experience and an excellent health**
