**Rosewood House** is an Emergency Shelter providing support to clients who are homeless. The Residential Coordinator is responsible for providing assistance and supervision to clients living at the shelter. The person will ensure that the shelter is a safe, secure and orderly residence that meets provincial and municipal health standards; will treat all clients and staff with respect and dignity and will provide support for clients with the goal of achieving housing in the community.

**Education**: Post secondary degree/diploma in a health, social service/justice related field such as Social Service Worker or Child Youth Worker Diploma

**Experience**:Relevant community college education, or minimum two years experience in social service field, or equivalent; experience in case management related to vulnerable at risk clients.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of working with vulnerable, at risk clients;
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take appropriate action;
- Demonstrated problem solving and time management skills, effective interpersonal and communication skills;
- Knowledge of community resources and effective experience in working cooperatively with community resource agencies;
- Knowledge and experience or aptitude for information systems including computers and various software programs such as Word, Excel, Access;
- Other courses as appropriate such as First Aid/CPR, Food Handling certification, Non-violent Crisis Management.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 8-16 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Night shift
- Weekend availability

- Brantford, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
