**Position Overview**:
We are looking for someone with enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and excellent organization and time management skills to join our team. If you have excellent communication skills, are a problem solver, and well-organized this position is for you. At FL, Logistics Coordinators are primarily responsible for coordinating fleet vehicles to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of bulk materials to customers in British Columbia and Alberta.
**Responsibilities**:
- Coordinate fleet personnel to ensure proper allocation of resources and equipment, maximizing operational efficiencies.
- Schedule and coordinate the routing and scheduling of daily trucking services.
- Compliance with time schedules and applicable laws, codes, rules and regulations.
- Communicate regularly with the drivers to assist and manage implications caused by equipment problems, traffic, accidents and site conditions.
- Ensure schedules are carried out in an effective and efficient manner.
- Makes necessary adjustments for road closures and bans, weather, and mechanical/technical problems.
- Works closely with Customer Service Representative, mechanics, and operations team to ensure operational challenges are addressed quickly and communicated to all stakeholders.
- Communicates with the safety team and customer to exchange information, coordinate activities and resolve issues on site
- Receives and responds to inquiries concerning routing, scheduling, and other trucking related questions.
- Communicate with Shop personnel regarding repairs and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Use tracking and dispatch software to maximize cost efficiency while maintain a high level of customer service.
- Relay challenges with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders to the Director of Operations as required.
- Champions the safety culture at FL Carriers by participating in safety meetings, following and communicating safe work procedures, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- Prior experience as a Dispatcher or Logistics Coordinator is an asset.
- Prior experience as a dispatcher in the transportation industry is an asset.
- Familiarity with Federal Transportation Regulations is an asset.
- College or University diploma or degree is preferred.

**Hours of Work**:
- The hours for this position are typically 8am - 5pm. However, this schedule may will vary based on the needs of the business.
- After hours calls, overtime, evenings, and weekends are required from time to time.
