**Recochem Canada** - a producer, formulator, contract packager and wholesale distributor of chemical products in the automotive/heavy duty, household and hardware markets, from six strategically located manufacturing facilities throughout Canada.
**Responsibilities**:
**Work under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor by assisting in the labour and equipment planning, training, inventory management and maintaining the RF system.**
- Support in the labour and equipment planning by scheduling employees for the selection and shipping of products
- Provide assistance in the training of employees for the RF system by educational seminars and demonstration of equipment
- Maintain the inventory management system by reviewing daily reports of finished goods and discrepancies reports
- Provide support in the training of WHMIS, TDG, and CTPAT by reviewing and doing safety talks.
- Ensure that all RF processes are verified and inventory is accurate by using the RF and Mapic
- Review RF error audit reports and report findings to supervisor on a daily basis
- Review and process orders and transmit the RF system thought Mapics on a daily basis
- Coordinate and maintain material locations for accuracy for the verification of the picking list that is supplied to the supervisor
- Review inventory reports and participate in yearly inventories
- Create and review RF inventory count groups and discrepancy reports
- Ensure that all appropriate documentation is completed correctly, including shipping bills, dangerous goods requirements, and pallet control.
- Ensure that the RF system and ERP system inventory are in balance
- Review RF system Tag file to ensure accuracy and correct errors when appropriate
**Complete accurate and timely scheduling and dispatching of trucks to ensure that the flow of product out meets customer demands.**
- Assign orders based on directives and performance metrics by scheduling and dispatching trucks
- Book and submit booking requests through various customer Web Portals or TMS System
- Coordinate all delivery appointments and confirmed with carrier by phone
- Ensure all shipments meet the C-TPAT requirements
**Ensure that all shipping documents are recorded and matched with waybills for invoicing process**
- Organize and maintain hard copies and electronic documentation supporting order fulfillment, distribution means and contractual obligations
- Ensures bill of ladings are matched with packing slips, order pick slips and acknowledgement as per ISO procedure
- Ensure that all verifications are done on pick slip as per procedure
- Prepares proper paperwork for billing and authorization of variety of invoices per define process
- Initiates overcharge/undercharge freight bill claims with carriers and tracks reconciliation of same per regulatory standard
- Plant and route freight as needed to meet demands and utilize travel lanes
**Qualifications**:
- College Diploma in Business or equivalent training and experience
- Minimum of 5 years of related logistic/distribution experience
- Experience or certification in LEAN concepts and principals are a definite asset Experience using TMS systems or Web portals.
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Able to establish and maintain good customer relations with both internal and external customers
- Ability to evaluate employee’s job knowledge and provide required training under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor for all warehouse personnel.
- High level of attention to detail and strong ability to problem resolution
- Good experience in planning of labour and equipment to maximize productivity
- Strong knowledge Recochem products processes and policies.
- Experience with freight programs or experience in shipping via various methods of transport (truck, rail or tanker)
- Knowledge of material handling equipment, radio frequency and automated logistics systems
- Good understanding of shipping and distribution functions and processes.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Good understanding of MS Office programs including Word and Excel
- Good working knowledge of MAPICS or other related ERP systems.
