Assistant Fulfillment Team Lead

We are looking for someone to join our bakery as the **Assistant Fulfillment Team Lead. **You will work with a group of 2 - 3 other team members as we package and sort our daily selections of gourmet bread and buns. This is a fast-paced work environment with an emphasis on efficiency and maintaining deadlines; this is **not** a position for clock-watchers or someone who is afraid of hard work. This role is responsible for assisting our fulfillment team lead in running the fulfillment team of five from the moment the bread hits the cooling rack until it leaves on the trucks. This is a **full-time overnight position** (roughly 30 hours per week), with shifts that start at 9:00 pm, and go until around 2 - 3 am.
**Key tasks for the role**
- Working on the floor in fulfillment receiving and packaging orders
- Quality Assurance
- Assising team lead in team management
- Scheduling employees
- Payroll/Time Keeping
- Providing daily reports to upper management when necessary
- Onboarding and training new hires
- Creating a positive and welcoming environment for all staff
- Moving vehicles from the parking lot to the loading bay
**Skill Requirement**
- Minimum of 1-year experience in a supervisory role (required)
- Valid Driver's License (required)
- Experience with scheduling and timekeeping is an asset
- Precise attention to detail
- Strong multitasking and delegation abilities
- The ability to work efficiently and maintain deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Exemplary verbal and written communication - English
- The motivation and willingness to learn and grow as a part of a team
- Proficiency with computers
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs

- In this role, you will be required to do some heavy lifting when loading crates into the work van. Are you comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs?
