We're seeking an energetic and motivated Marketing Coordinator to join our team, specializing in event coordination and associated marketing duties. In this internal role, you'll play a vital part in lead generation by researching upcoming events/shows, handling company registrations, and ensuring we have ample manpower (brand ambassadors) for representation.
As a marketing coordinator, you'll oversee and coordinate various types of events, including but not limited to Events, Home Shows, Open Houses, Retail, Festivals, and other relevant activities.
While primarily remote, this position may require occasional event attendance, assistance with event logistics such as delivering items from storage or printers, and participation in event management. There may also be occasional in-office meetings.
The standard hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; however, flexibility is crucial as event schedules vary, sometimes starting at 10 a.m. and concluding as late as 6 or 7 p.m. Events typically take place on weekends may end in the evenings, necessitating the Marketing Coordinator's availability. We are looking for someone who can work independently, has open availability, and is willing to travel throughout the GTA to support event operations when necessary. Weekend and evening availability is occasionally required.
**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct research on upcoming events and shows to generate leads.
- Reach out to event organizers and negotiate vendor space contracts.
- Register and coordinate the company's participation in relevant events.
- Schedule Brand Ambassadors for event attendance.
- Review and approve Brand Ambassadors' invoices for timely payment.
- Collaborate closely with the accounting department to ensure prompt payment processing.
- Organize training sessions for new brand ambassadors.
- Maintain and validate 5-star reviews garnered during trade shows/events.
- Uphold events within target CPA (cost per acquisition) goals.
- Coordinate booth setup and teardown, managing resources and logistics.
- Supervise multiple concurrent events to ensure smooth and efficient execution.
- Monitor event metrics and deliver reports to the Sales Director.
- Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and training new team members.
- Act as a Brand Ambassador as needed to maintain staffing levels.
- Ensure availability of necessary supplies and promotional materials within budgetary constraints.

**Requirements**:
- Must have a valid driver's license, access to a car, and be willing to travel across GTA (if/when required)
- Open availability: Flexible schedule to accommodate weekend and weekday events.
- Proven experience in event coordination and marketing, preferably in the home improvement industry.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & Salesforce
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills
