We have an immediate opening for an office administrator. We would love to hire someone who is passionate about providing customers with excellent service.
Experience in bookkeeping and Simply Accounting is required, but above all else, a positive attitude and the desire to do a good and accurate job is what we're looking for. We have a high paced work environment, so speed and efficiency are critical. Understanding and maintaining confidentiality is essential in this privileged position.
The majority of our staff have worked for us for 5-10+ years. We run a good business, and we are very accommodating to our staff. We aim to promote and nourish growth. Our whole team works together with one goal, to deliver excellent products and service to our customers, while maintaining a positive environment, so everyone enjoys coming to work.
This is a full-time position and rarely do we require our staff to work any overtime. When you are at work, we expect 100%, but we do not want you to take work home with you, we respect your personal time off. We pay above average wages, and offer monetary compensation for benefits for you and your family.
The wage for a qualified & experienced office administrator is based on experience and skill set.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 5 years book keeping experience
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Minimum 3 years experience working in Simply Accounting
- Strong understanding of technology and the ability to learn new programs
- Ability to use initiative and self-managing skills to work independently with mínimal direction and respond effectively and promptly to issues that arise
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of internal and external personnel
- Superior proficiency in basic mathematics
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Maintain a positive and pleasant attitude with customers and co-workers
- Answer phone calls and take & convey accurate messages
- Enter invoices, purchases, and postings in the system as required
- Prepare bank deposits
- Handle customer account inquiries
- Maintain the accuracy of customer accounts
- Maintain adequate stock on hand and order general office supplies as required
- Assist in processing customer orders (phone calls and in person)
- Responsible for maintaining a safe, neat and organized office space
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
Additional pay:
- Bonus pay
- Overtime pay
Flexible language requirement:
- French not required
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Campbell River, BC V9W 4R3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
