Job Description:
It is an exciting time to support SHN's Strategy Office as we implement our new 2024-2029 Strategic Plan. As a Co-op Student, you will play a key role in supporting the development and execution of corporate and clinical initiatives to meet the needs of the diverse populations we serve.

Here’s what you will get to do- Support members of the team in developing, implementing, and monitoring SHN’s corporate and clinical strategic priorities and initiatives- Support the development of critical strategic deliverables, including presentation materials, business cases, development plans and proposals related to the strategic goals of SHN- Provide support with research, data analysis, facilitation/stakeholder engagement, environmental scanning, and issues analysis- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in strategy development

Here's what you will need- Previous experience in strategy development, healthcare planning, and healthcare administration or a related discipline-
- Strong understanding of strategy development and implementation, including monitoring and performance reporting- Strong understanding of government and health system priorities, trends, and future directions- Strong understanding of the healthcare system and knowledge of crucial hospital and external databases used for planning purposes (e.g. OCHPP, Census statistics)- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills- Pride in doing great work, a mindset of taking things to the finish line, and attention to detail
