Medical Receptionist

As a Hearing Healthcare Coordinator, your primary responsibility is to provide extraordinary concierge level service to our patients. In this position, you will be the “face” of the practice and the crucial liaison between our customers and the Hearing Instrument Specialist. You will contribute to the success of Halton Audiometric Centre through the provision of effective customer service and relations, interpersonal communication, effective time management, accurate cash management reporting and delivering sales/marketing goals.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greets customers when they enter
- Answer phone/make phone calls for various purposes including booking, follow-up and recalling
- Schedule appointments for the clinic
- Manage incoming phone calls, deliver and return messages
- Order and sell products
- General office and administrative duties
- Stock shelves (batteries, pamphlets, supplies etc.)
- Invoicing and receiving for hearing aids and other products
- Receive mail, process incoming payments and distribute mail
- Mail batteries/supplies when customers request
- Perform follow up activities with customers and other leads
- Customer information entry into clinical management system
- Be able to process correctly all clinic forms as they relate to customer care (i.e., customer records, financial forms, and insurance contracts where applicable).
- Manage customer database and call list
- Submit insurance claims and follow-up with insurance plans where applicable
- Manage account receivables and payables
- Clean and check patients hearing aids
- Assist the Hearing Care Professionals
- Perform a variety of cleaning duties to maintain a clean work environment
- All other duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required
- 2 years of previous office experience is preferred
- 2 years of previous sales and customer service experience is preferred
- Must be well organized and able to multitask effectively
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively in English, verbal and written
- Must be proficient in MS Office and possess good computer skills
- Must have the ability to sit at a desk for 70%-90% of the work day
- Must be self-motivated and highly organized
**Job Type**: Part-time
**Salary**: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- No weekends
