As the Manager, Human Resources at the RS Distribution Services Ltd. (RS), you will enable business partners to create and sustain a positive employee relations environment. In your role you will provide advice, guidance, and support in areas such as recruitment, discipline, employee-employer communication, engagement, performance improvement, conflict resolution, and policy creation. Additionally, your team will oversee health and safety requirements throughout the organization, and will oversee best practice development throughout the company.

The Manager, Human Resources will be accountable for leading a team of three reports responsible for human resources, health and safety, and quality/best practice.

The RS Group of Companies (RS Distribution Services Ltd and RS Express Ltd), are a fast growing Winnipeg-based group of companies in the Warehousing/Distribution and Transportation industries. Our value focuses on scaling to offer top-tier 3PL services unique to each customer, specializing in food handling and allergen isolation.

Your Role:

- Conduct disciplinary actions and prepare necessary documentation, when and where applicable;
- Ensure that all new team members are adequately briefed on RS policies and procedures
- Update and enhance RS Employee and/or Driver Handbooks;
- Develop and refine performance evaluation tools;
- Develop, update, and enhance ISO & OHSAS manuals;
- Determine, monitor and coordinate employee training needs and activities (ex. TDG, WHIMS, etc );
- Prepare and/or complete WCB incident reports online;
- Oversee and ensure compliance with certification programs (ex. Safety Rating, Firearms Carrier License, etc );
- Provide consultative services to identify causes of employee relations issues, create solutions, and facilitate implementation of action plans;
- Lead and/or participate in the investigation and resolution of employee complaints, issues, and concerns regarding employment practices;
- Communicate and ensure understanding and compliance by managers and employees of relevant laws and regulations;

**Job Requirements**

Desired skills and experience:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal and leadership skills and the ability to establish high trust relationships;
- Minimum 5 years of HR/Employee Relations experience required;
- Post-secondary education in HR, Commerce, or HR certification considered an asset;
- Possesses knowledge of employment Legislation;
- Strong coaching and consulting skills;
- Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and handle multiple assignments simultaneously, as well as work well under pressure and time constraints;
- Critical thinker and able to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions and approaches to problems;
- High degree of flexibility to successfully adapt to changing priorities; comfortable with ambiguity;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
