Madorin Snyder LLP is a full service law firm based in Kitchener and Listowel serving clients throughout Ontario. Over the last 60 years we have maintained our reputation as specialists in a number of areas of the law including family and employment law and the defense of insurance claims, professionals, municipalities and manufacturers.

We require an individual with a general background and experience in Civil Litigation Law to join a busy practice of a senior partner specializing in insurance defence work.

We offer a competitive salary which is commensurate with experience.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Drafting routine correspondence on behalf of the lawyer
- File organization and maintenance of files in various programs
- Maintaining an effective diary system
- Scheduling the lawyer's calendar
- Liaison with clients and opposing Counsel; obtaining information and instructions from clients
- Entering dockets and preparing accounts
- Assisting in management of lawyer’s practice in a team environment to ensure completion of work accurately and within established time frames.

**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- A minimum of five (5) years' experience in Civil Litigation
- Experience using the following programs; ACL, Primafact, LEAP, SpeechLive, Office 365;
- Strong transcription skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with clients, lawyers and staff;
- Proficient with the Rules of Civil Procedure;
- Ability to work in a fast paced high volume environment
- Must be organized, thorough and have high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of team
