The Accounts Payable Clerk will look after verifying invoices are accurate and processed timely.
**Responsibilities**:
- Work in compliance with laws and regulations, attend and complete all required health and safety training, report all accidents and safety hazards observed. Take every precaution reasonable to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
- Match supplier invoices to authorizing purchase orders and proofs of receipt
- Take all supplier discounts
- Obtain payment approvals for non-cost of goods sold invoices
- Enter all supplier invoices into the payables software
- Issue notices to suppliers regarding rejected invoice line items
- Process procurement card payment
- Incorporate all applicable supplier credits into payments made
- Research supplier requests for payment
- Process value-added tax reclamations
- Monitor supplier claim submissions
- Reconcile accounts payable to the general ledger
**Qualifications**:
- Knowledge and experience of general accounting principles and accounts payable procedures. Experience with inventory management considered an asset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with employees, superiors, and customers.
- Well planned, organized with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills and strong ability to prioritize.
