We are a hospitality industry company that has two concepts: 1st RND and Five & Dive. We have two 1st RND locations, in West Edmonton Mall and downtown Edmonton, and one Five & Dive location, in West Edmonton Mall.

**Position**: Office Manager

**Description**: The Office Manager is vital to the overall operation of our business, behind the scenes. You will report directly report to President and Director of Operations and work out of our head office, It is imperative that our Office Manager can be trusted with highly confidential information, will work with payroll and very sensitive team member information, will work behind the scenes analyzing costs, purchases, payroll, company sales, and company discounts. The Office Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our senior management office and will have to reconcile cash, go to the bank, travel between business locations, meet with managers as needed to educate and share company information, and be at the ready to take on any jobs, tasks, or projects, as requested by senior management and ownership to ensure a profitable business.

- Supervise the operation of our company office to maximize profitability, minimize legal liability, and conform to all brand operational policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Be able to handle cash transactions, reconcile cash, and deal with financial institutions.
- Ensure a safe environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents. Complete accident reports / incident reports promptly in the event a guest or team member is injured.
- Manage a team of a couple individuals who will work directly under you to perform the duties required for the job.
- Recruit, interview, and hire team members; supervise, take escalating disciplinary action, motive, and train.
- Conduct and help with training of new team members in your department.
- Develop team members by providing ongoing feedback, establishing performance expectations, and by conducting performance reviews.
- Manage shifts which include: daily decision making, managing of schedules, planning job responsibilities while upholding brand standards, policies and procedures and cleanliness.
- Travel between multiple locations.
- Control day-to-day operations by scheduling labor, ordering product and office supplies, and coaching and developing the 1st RND management team.
- Ensure compliance of Occupational and Safety Health Act, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policy.
- Control Profit & Loss by following cash control procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing sales projections, and taking appropriate action.
- Troubleshoot and smooth issues relating to the successful execution of events.
- Work directly with senior management and ownership.

**Position Requirements**:

- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Minimum 5+ years experience in a office manager role, or equivalent experience.
- Post Secondary education in accounting or related work experience.
- Have AGLC ProServe and Reel Facts certification.
- Previous experience working in an office environment.
- Highly motivated to work independently and without direct supervision.
- Proactive, well organized, and forward thinking.
- Exceptional grammar and spelling.
- Exceptionally good with social media.
- Have a passion for quality food and service.
- Must have exceptional communication skills.
- Have experience operating and making bi-weekly payroll submissions.
- Have experience and knowledge of local labour laws.
- Knowledge and background in Food Safety.
- All applicable government certifications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be highly self sufficient and capable of making quick and well thought out decisions.
- Must have own transportation.
- Be able to stand on your feet for 8+ hours.
- Be able to lift 20 lbs.
- Must be passionate about sports.
