We are a congregation within the Presbyterian Church in Canada. Our goal, as a Christian congregation, is to seek the welfare of the broader community with values based on faith, hope and love expressed through the Christian faith. Our facility was redeveloped in 2018 to provide 45 units of below-cost housing as well as space for community groups, a modern worship centre and a small commercial space which we lease.

Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Administrator to join our team. The Church Office Administrator oversees the Church Office's daily operations. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that the administration of church operations and facilities is provided efficiently within the approved budget and staff limitations.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to communications, correspondence, paper and digital filing, social media platforms, publicity and promotion, and secretarial work related to church ministries.
**Duties**:
- Edit, format and render audio-visual recordings of Worship Services and other church events for publishing in social media platforms.
- In collaboration with Session and the Minister, manage and maintain BrightSign annunciator panels on all three floors of the building,
- Secretarial work: Format, publish/print Orders of Worship; Other documents as required by Session and the Minister.
- Coordinates with Archivist of the Presbyterian Church in Canada to preserve all church records, historical and current, both in digital format and microfilm.
- Maintain HR records, oversee benefits and payroll for church staff, ensure staff vacation time as per BC labour law.
- In collaboration with the Bookkeeper/Accountant and the Church Treasurer, develop and monitor a system for internal control.
- Initially approve all disbursements.
- In collaboration with the Bookkeeper/Accountant and Church Treasurer, negotiate and schedule auditors’ work and assist the auditors in conducting annual audits/reviews as approved by Session.
- Other duties as requested by the Minister and/or Session.
- Maintain office presence Tuesday to Friday from 9AM to 1PM with the exception of statutory holidays.

Work Experience:
- Undergraduate degree or above with a strong background in business or administration
- At least two years of experience in IT work. Experience in church administration would be an asset.
