Wine bar in Montreal is seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations, including menu creation, food preparation, staff management, and maintaining high standards of quality. *Very important is that we are looking for someone that has experience with Canadian ingredients and how to cook with the seasons using said ingredients. Knowledge of the Top 100 list of Canada and the World 50 best an asset.
**Duties**:
- Oversee the entire kitchen operations and ensure smooth workflow
- Create and develop innovative and delicious menu items
- Plan and execute food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring high-quality performance
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen
- Collaborate with management to develop cost-effective strategies
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques and practices
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Creativity and passion for food
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
