Guest Service Agent

As a Guest Service Agent, you will take care of the guests from the moment they arrive through to their departure. Ensuring they have a memorable experience with us by making emotional connections with them.
**Responsibilities**:
- Greet, check-in, respond to requests and settle accounts while providing exceptional service
- Take initiative to add a personalized experience
- Proudly promote the hotel facilities, looking for opportunities to enhance a guest’s stay
- Handle guest requests effectively and promptly
- Complete shift checklist and pass-on important information
- Cash handling which includes currency exchange and balancing a float
- Become familiar with group resumes ensuring all details of incoming and outgoing groups are observed
- Serve as sales agent promoting and up-selling hotel services
- All other duties as assigned
**Requirements**:
- Previous Front Desk experience preferred
- Valid BC drivers license preferred
- Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, overtime shifts, split shifts and holidays.
- Must possess basic computer skills.
- Excellent knowledge of the city, including local events, restaurants, shopping and attractions.
- Professional appearance and excellent grooming
- A passion for Guest Service and a skill for anticipating guest needs
- Ability to work in a team environment
- A strong grasp of the English language in both verbal and written forms is mandatory.
- Applicants must have permission to work in Canada.
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $24.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
