**JOB DESCRIPTION**

We are seeking an on-site, detail-oriented, and organized Administrative and Bookkeeper Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. This position may quickly grow into a full-time position. Your expertise will play a vital role in maintaining our financial health and enhancing the day-to-day efficiency of our business. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various administrative and bookkeeping duties, such as but not limited to:

- Answering phones and relaying calls or messages,
- Open & distribute mail and other materials,
- Ordering and maintaining office supplies,
- Maintain manual and digital information files,
- Arrange travel related itineraries and make reservations,
- Maintain accurate financial records,
- Payroll input and review,
- Expense entry and management,
- Accounts Receivable and Payable processing and reconciliation,
- Prepare and submit tax forms and other required compliance documentation,
- Support budgeting and forecasting by providing relevant financial data,
- Collaborate with the team to improve financial processes and ensure smooth operations,
- Support month-end activities,
- Supporting both our Canadian and US operations,
- Other duties as assigned.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BEGIN AS PART-TIME (24 hrs/week )**
- On-site at the Mount Uniacke location
- Work directly with management and other team members

**QAULIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative and bookkeeping experience or a similar role.
- Microsoft Office - MS365 at intermediate level or greater.
- Proficiency in the QuickBooks Online Accounting Software.
- Solid understanding of office and bookkeeping procedures, practices, and processes.
- Experience in payroll, budgeting, accounts receivable, and accounts payable is an asset.
- Attention to detail and accuracy required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Working experience with Google Suite.
- Experience working with small or medium businesses.

- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online or other accounting software.
- An interest in efficiency and improvements.
- Any relevant education in the Accounting or Commerce field, either formal or informal

Fluency in English (Read and write) is required.
