**The Opportunity**

ZE Power Engineering is an innovative industry leading company that provides engineering services to the electric utility industry. We are currently seeking an individual as a Design Assistant to assist Designers in administrative tasks and provide support to multi-faceted team of designers and engineers of the company. **Responsibilities**
- Assist in documentation tasks, such as BC One Call, design uploads to SharePoint, work order (WO) conversions, Job Planning Folder (JPF) process, civil/vegetation packaging, and project closeout procedures.
- Ensure accuracy in documentation, including JPF preparation, pole permit submissions, and vegetation/civil JPF uploads into SAP.
- Utilize software and tools, including SAP, GIS asset databases, financial/work order software, SharePoint, BC OneCall, Microsoft suite and the internal database.
- Participate in closeout processes and ensure compliance with established protocols.
- Communicate effectively with team members, field technicians, and managers to ensure timely task completion.

**Qualifications and Skills**

Required:

- Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and organizational skills.
- A valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
- A proactive and results-driven approach to work. Self-motivated and independent.

Preferred:

- A diploma or certificate in an engineering or technology relevant to the electric utility field.
- Ability to read and interpret technical design drawings and details.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
