Overview

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Cabinet Designer/Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves creating innovative cabinetry solutions that blend functionality with aesthetic appeal, supporting projects from conceptual design through to detailed engineering. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a keen eye for design, and experience in project management within interior design, renovation, or construction environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-end residential and commercial projects, utilizing cutting-edge design software and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed cabinet designs using CAD software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D, and 3ds Max.
  • Create compelling visual presentations with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite to communicate design concepts effectively.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and project managers to ensure designs meet functional requirements and aesthetic goals.
  • Prepare comprehensive construction documents, including drafting plans, elevations, sections, and specifications.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Conduct site visits for measurements, inspections, and quality assurance during the renovation or remodeling process.
  • Assist in material selection, color theory application, lighting design integration, and interior design considerations to enhance overall project outcomes.
  • Review contracts and coordinate with vendors for procurement of materials and fixtures.
  • Support sales efforts by providing technical expertise on lighting sales, remodeling options, and renovation strategies.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Mozaik, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D, 3ds Max (3ds ), Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop).
  • Strong drafting skills combined with knowledge of CAD standards and best practices.
  • Experience in interior design principles including color theory and lighting design.
  • Ability to manage projects effectively with skills in project management, budgeting, and contract review.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, remodeling techniques, renovation planning, and lighting sales strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills for client presentations and team collaboration.
  • Familiarity with the use of drafting tools for detailed cabinetry engineering solutions.
