- The Accounting Administrator plays an essential support role to the functions of the Finance & Accounting department. The responsibilities include data entry, invoice organization, and timely client billing, alongside diplomatic engagement with vendors to ensure seamless invoicing processes. **HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE (RESPONSIBILITIES)**
- Organizing and filing of invoices, including preparation and disbursement of client invoices.
- Investigate collection problems and make calls when appropriate for follow-up from customers while ensuring the strict confidentiality and privacy of financial records as they relate to the organization and its customers.
- Collaborate with the Finance & Accounting team to maintain collection goals and general accounts receivable performance levels.
- Review voucher matching and properly coding invoices.
- Contacting vendors regarding invoices and payment timing.
- Reviewing and reconciling vendor account balances to statements of accounts.
- Ensure approved invoices are attached as a backup for cheque runs.
- Reconciling employee expenses
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
**DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES? (REQUIREMENTS)**
- Degree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent experience).
- 2 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is considered an asset.
- Basic knowledge of accounting systems, budgets, and internal controls.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Possess a desire for continuous learning and development with the desire to take on new challenges.
- Ability to work independently or as a team on various tasks.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work in office during regular operating hours: Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
- Class 5 Driver’s License and ability to commute to and from head office in Acheson, AB.
