**THE ROLE - Based in Vancouver, BC**
The Payroll & Finance Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the accounting and administrative functions in the Vancouver Office, located in downtown Vancouver. As such, this position predominantly requires:
- Crew Payroll Support: creating and maintaining a Payroll Master Database, timesheets, payslips and other documents; approving payments and overtime; reporting all information to our Payroll Department in Australia;
- Crew Expenses: creating and issuing expense sheets and vouchers; reconciling all expenses and credit cards against receipts; reporting all information to our Finance Department in Australia;
- Accounting Support: reconciling some supplier invoices; providing support to our Accounts Payable team in Australia whenever required;
- Office/Equipment Management: paying monthly office/utility bills, maintaining the cheque register, managing the office petty cash; managing Crew equipment (including uniforms), provide technical support to Crew and other Vancouver Office Team members;
- Administration Support: compiling usage stats; reviewing budget requirements etc.
Work hours will be generally Monday to Friday, although some overtime might be required to meet deadlines, in particular in regards to payroll and weekly/monthly reconciliations. The need for timely and accurate submission of information is absolutely critical. Working within a small office in Vancouver, the Operations Coordinator - Finance and Reports must be willing and ready to assist other team members wherever and whenever required. Due to the seasonal nature of the business, you will be particularly busy between April and September and required to work in the office. However off season there is flexibility to work mostly from home if you wish so.

- Extremely organized and detail-oriented, and willing to do what it takes to respect deadlines

- Able to communicate professionally with people of all ages and all backgrounds on sensitive issues, and maintain confidentiality
- Able to work independently and to be part of a team
- Have the willingness to go above and beyond; a sense of initiative and be always looking for improvement(s)
- Preferably have a knowledge of tourist destinations in Canada and Alaska (and of APT/Travelmarvel products here)
- Accounting & Payroll experience/certification not necessary, but an asset.
