**Description**
The Human Resources Generalist will be passionate about recruiting, supporting, and evolving employees through our company’s guidelines and managing processes.
The HR Generalist will support a variety of functions including benefits administration, payroll, employee onboarding and exiting, creation of job descriptions, assist with learning and development practices, setting up and maintaining employee records as well as full cycle recruitment.
The HR Generalist will establish and maintain highly confidential files and records and will ensure compliance with legal and corporate guidelines. The HR Generalist will prepare reports as requested including gathering and summarizing data. Prior knowledge of HR processes and employment law is required.
The HR Generalist will be an excellent communicator, establish rapport easily and perform the role with integrity.
**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Administer and coordinate activities for various HR programs and processes, including payroll, full cycle recruitment, onboarding, benefits, performance management, learning and development as well as employee engagement and recognition
- Organize and facilitate new hire onboarding processes including verification of documents, entry into systems and delivery of orientation sessions
- Assist in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures and help to prepare and maintain workplace policies in ADP WFN
- Manage the integrity of employee records through timely and accurate data entry and completing regular data quality audits to identify, resolve or prevent errors
- Respond to internal and external HR related questions and requests
- Maintain accurate documentation for HR processes and work instructions
- Recommend changes and additions to policies and procedures to improve the work environment and meet company goals
- Play an active leadership role in promoting safety throughout the company, specifically as a member of the Joint Health & Safety Committee
- Partner with Head of Human Resources in design & development of effective training and development plans
- Compile and prepare Human Resources related reports as needed
- Maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations
**QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a relevant field
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of labour legislation and payroll processes
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now is required
- Experience with SAP SuccessFactors is an asset
- Previous experience with ISO requirements is an asset
**ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Must be able to work autonomously
- Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations, and law
- Must be well organized; able to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills (verbal/written) and presentation skills
