The Kettle Creek Inn is an established business with a fantastic location, beautiful patio and grounds, three dining rooms and a pub. The environment is in place to make the dream a reality.

**Responsibilities**:

- Recruit, hire, train and develop a dynamic kitchen team
- Supervise activities of kitchen staff
- Must be hands-on and active in all aspects of the kitchen including cooking and preparation
- Ensure kitchen staff prepares food items in accordance with standards of quality, quantity control, taste and presentation following standardized recipes
- Plan efficient scheduling for the kitchen in line with business needs
- Develop creative seasonal from scratch menus with an eye to current trends.
- Train front of house staff to enhance knowledge of menu to allow them to exceed customers expectations.
- Ensure proper inventory levels with accurate and appropriate food and labour costs
- Responsible for all ordering, receiving and inventory handling
- Establish and maintain a regular cleaning and maintenance schedule for all kitchen areas and equipment
- Ensure strict compliance with Quality Assurance and Health Safety Program, Occupational Health and Safety Act and WHMIS regulations

Qualifications and Skills
- 4 years of Head Chef/Sous Chef experience
- Food Handlers Safety Certificate
- Knowledge of ministry regulated food safety standards
- WHMIS training, First Aid/CPR/AED training
- Sound knowledge of financial management including the ability to control food and labour costs
- Creative ability to incorporate current food trends
- Must be self motivated, self directed, able to work in a fast-paced environment and be passionate about food
- Possess effective interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor and lead others, have excellent oral and written communication, strong organizational and conflict skills

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
