We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen at **The Station Taphouse**, our new elevated pub concept in a reimagined heritage train station. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a chef who thrives in a creative, fast-paced environment and values team culture, quality, and guest experience.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum 5 years of kitchen leadership experience in high-volume or upscale casual environments, with proven ability to run a successful team.
- Strong culinary foundation with a broad knowledge of techniques, plating, and kitchen systems relevant to a modern taphouse menu.
- Experience in menu design, costing, and inventory control, with the ability to balance creativity and profitability.
- Hands-on leadership style—comfortable running the pass, jumping on the line, and leading by example in fast-paced service.
- Clear, respectful communicator who can manage up, down, and across teams with confidence and professionalism.
- Solid understanding of food safety standards (FoodSafe Level 1 or equivalent required), with a track record of clean inspections.
- Highly organized and accountable, able to manage prep schedules, ordering, and team structure without micromanagement.
- Flexible and solution-oriented, able to adapt to seasonal changes, staff dynamics, and operational challenges without losing focus.

**COMPENSATION**
- Starting annual salary of $60K plus pooled tip-out. Biweekly pay.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Lead daily kitchen operations—overseeing prep, service, and team performance to ensure consistent execution, food quality, and pace.
- Hire, train, and mentor kitchen staff, building a professional team culture grounded in accountability, respect, and continuous improvement.
- Own menu development and execution, creating seasonal features and refining core dishes to reflect our brand identity and customer experience.
- Manage food costing, inventory, and supplier relations, ensuring smart ordering, mínimal waste, and strong margins across all menus.
- Design and maintain prep systems and station workflows that support speed, accuracy, and cleanliness—even during high-volume seasonal shifts.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety standards, maintaining a clean, organized kitchen and preparing for health inspections with confidence.
- Collaborate with FOH and ownership on service flow, plating standards, and overall guest experience to ensure smooth, aligned operations.
- Lead by example on the line, setting the tone during service, solving problems under pressure, and elevating the team through presence and action.
