**Job description**
As a Compliance Analyst at Pinnacle you will work with the existing Risk & Compliance Team to support organizational growth in a variety of areas including:
- Risk assessment
- Anti-Money Laundering (AML)
- Controls
- Policies and procedures; and
- Process improvement
**Responsibilities**
1. Control Design & Testing:
- Design, implement, and test internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards
- Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of control environments and recommend enhancements or corrective actions based on testing outcomes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address control deficiencies and mitigate risks
- Report control testing results and identified risks to management, providing clear recommendations for improvements or remediation actions
2. Audit:
- Plan, execute, and document the annual AML audit, including testing of controls, and evaluation of procedures related to AML
- Aid in managing the annual SOC audit through liaison with the auditors and internally including review of sample data
- Report testing results to management, providing clear recommendations for remediation action
3. Policy & Procedure Development:
- Regularly review and update existing policies and procedures to ensure they remain relevant and effective
- Ensure that all policies and procedures are documented and accessible to relevant stakeholders
4. Training & Knowledge Sharing:
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on new or updated policies, procedures, and internal controls
**Requirements**:
- 3 to 5 years’ experience as a Compliance Analyst in a financial institution or fund administrator
- Audit experience
- Strong command of the English language
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong writing and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, prioritize work to meet deadlines
**Desired skills and experience**
- AML knowledge and expertise
- Have a relevant professional degree (i.e. CPA, CA, CAMS, or equivalent)
- Knowledge of the Offshore, USA, and Canadian legal and regulatory environment for fund administrators and investment funds
