The Compliance Analyst role is a dynamic entry level position with VBCE’s Compliance department. You will play a crucial role in ensuring adherence to AML regulations by managing timely and accurate reporting to regulatory bodies, monitoring transactions, and verifying KYC information. Key responsibilities include maintaining up to date knowledge of compliance guidelines, conducting internal audits, assisting with employee training, and supporting implementation of compliance policies and procedures across the organization.

**Job Description**:

- Provide AML (Anti-Money Laundering) compliance support
- Ensure all reporting is filed with FINTRAC on time, with 100% accuracy and meeting deadlines on LCTRs EFTIs EFTOs and STRs
- Ensure all CTR (Canadian Trade Repository) and CTR Valuation reporting is filed to CME on time
- Check the blacklist and ensure all potential matches are cleared
- Monitor transaction alerts and bring unusual cases to Compliance manager’s attention
- Ensure KYC verification forms are accurate and complete
- Ensure service agreements are 100% complete, or work with sales staff to obtain required information
- Ensure weekly, monthly internal audits are completed in a timely fashion
- Assist in employee training and testing on compliance related topics, policies or procedures annually
- Keep up to date on FINTRAC guidelines and regulations
- Assist in the implementation of policies and procedures for VBCE and provide guidance to other departments
- Assist on various team projects and complete other responsibilities as required

Job Requirements:

- Knowledge with retail financial industry due diligence standards with respect to Anti-Money Laundering and KYC requirements
- Strong communication, organizational and writing skills
- Strong proficiency with Excel required including the ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets, use formulas and analyze data. A solid understanding beyond basic functions is required.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Deadline and detail oriented
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize various tasks and projects

Salary Range

$50,000 - $60,000 annually, dependent on experience.

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
