**The Story Cafe - Eatery & Bar** has become a beloved and successful dining destination in Richmond, we have been serving brunch and casusal fine dine and getting over 400 - 500 covers daily. Now we’re ready to expand We’re thrilled to announce the upcoming opening of our sister restaurant at Coal Harbour in Downtown Vancouver and will have the similarity services and menus of The Story Cafe. As we embark on this exciting new chapter, we’re building a fresh team and are searching for an experienced and passionate Restaurant General Manager who will treat this new venture as their own. **Responsibilities**
- Oversee daily restaurant operations.
- Cover weekend shifts if needed
- Ensure excellent customer service standards.
- Monitor food and beverage quality.
- Develop and maintain budgets.
- Control food and labor costs.
- Hire, train, and schedule staff.
- Manage inventory and supplies.
- Ensure health and safety compliance.
- Handle customer complaints and feedback.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and chefs.
- Develop marketing strategies.
- Implement staff performance evaluations.
- Ensure proper cash handling procedures.
- Monitor sales and profitability.
- Organize and manage special events.
- Ensure adherence to company policies.
- Oversee payroll and employee benefits.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation.
- Ensure smooth service during peak times.
- Establish relationships with suppliers.
- Supervise bar operations and beverage service.
- Address operational inefficiencies.
- Manage online and delivery orders.
- Resolve employee conflicts.
- Ensure consistent brand image and messaging.
- Set performance goals and metrics.
- Negotiate vendor contracts and pricing.
- Conduct staff meetings and briefings.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Implement training programs for staff.
- Create and monitor shift schedules.
- Ensure compliance with licensing requirements.
- Track and analyze sales data.
- Develop strategies for revenue growth.
- Collaborate with marketing teams for promotions.
- Implement cost-saving measures.
- Ensure proper waste management and recycling.
- Conduct market research and customer surveys.
- Approve menus and suggest pricing adjustments.
- Foster positive relationships with regular customers.
- Ensure timely financial reporting.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs.
- Keep updated with health and safety laws.
- Manage reservation systems.
- Foster a positive and motivating work environment.
- Analyze financial statements and adjust strategies.
- Act as a liaison between employees and upper management.

- Can recommend wine selection for customers.
**Qualifications**
- POS experience
- Supervising experience in a restaurant setting
- Strong food service background
- Proven track record in team management
- Skilled in conducting interviews
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Proficient in food handling and kitchen operations
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proven experience in restaurant management.
