**Student Recruitment Coordinator**:
**Primary Purpose**: To work as team lead and coordinator of a team responsible for supporting ESL, Undergraduate and Graduate students through the recruitment, admission, and pre-arrival/arrival phases of the student lifecycle. The Student Recruitment team is responsible for assisting the University of Saskatchewan to achieve its strategic enrolment goals. The primary focus of this role is to work directly with the Student Recruitment Officers and alongside the Agent Management team, Student Ambassadors and Prospective Student Services team.

**Typical Duties or Accountabilities**:

This position requires knowledge and understanding of domestic, Indigenous and international recruitment, transition and retention issues in a post-secondary environment and reports to the Manager of Student Recruitment. The Coordinator of Student Recruitment is a leader and key member of the Student Recruitment team, which works closely with units in the Teaching, Learning and Student Experience Portfolio including Admissions and Transfer Credit, the U of S Language Centre and units in Student and Enrolment Services, and liaises frequently with colleges, including undergraduate colleges and the College of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies and other units in the wider and diverse campus community, to organize, collaborate, plan and execute student recruitment tactics to meet the diversity and enrollment goals of the university. This position works proactively with Indigenous, domestic and international communities for the purposes of student recruitment and conversion, and liaises with those who provide support services and programs for students inside and outside of the university.

**Primary responsibilities of this position include**:
**Strategic Planning**
- Consulting and assisting in the development of recruitment and conversion strategies for Indigenous, domestic and international markets;
- Coordinating a model of territory management including sharing market intelligence from Student Recruitment Officers with the Manager, Student Recruitment, for the development, implementation and continual adjustment of strategic recruitment plans and related tactics in each market;
- Collaborating with the event coordinator in the Teaching, Learning and Student Experience Services Team to ensure all major events such as Open House are delivered successfully.

**Processes**
- Improving and streamlining current and new student recruitment processes, training manuals and reports;
- Pre-approving expenses through the Concur expense approval system, ensuring Student Recruitment Officer travel reports are completed and submitted, and assisting with budgets and financial reporting;
- Managing the inventory of recruitment materials and tools, including publications and supplies used for recruitment; technology, such as projectors, clickers, etc.; and recruitment display items, such as bannerstands, tablecloths, backdrops, and others.

**Coordinate Student Recruitment**
- Working with the Communications Coordinator and the Manager, Student Recruitment, for the management of University of Saskatchewan profile information on external, or third-party, student recruitment websites or publications, counsellor and educational representative’s resources, viewbooks and other marketing materials for student recruitment purposes;
- Coordinating the scheduling of vacation and time off for Student Recruitment Officers, as well as fielding notices of sick time or other unforeseen eventualities that affect staffing levels;
- Assisting the Manager of Student Recruitment by providing support and advice to all staff in the Student Recruitment unit, and filling in as Acting Manager of Student Recruitment, when required.

**Coordinate Student Ambassador Program**
- Overseeing the Student Ambassador Program by working closely with Student Recruitment Officers and the Teaching, Learning and Student Experience Service Team to ensure the student ambassadors provide proper support and services for the prospective student initiatives (i.e. Campus Tours, Social Media);
- Leading the hiring process of new student ambassadors and provide an orientation for them;
- Coordinating the student ambassadors’ schedules and approving their timesheets.

**Operations**
- Assisting with the recruiting, hiring and onboarding of new team members, and coordinating training, ongoing support and professional development for all Student Recruitment Officers;
- Coordinating travel schedules in a market based approach with all Student Recruitment Officers in collaboration with other units on campus, considering travel priorities to ensure we are meeting our diversity, enrolment, recruitment and conversion goals, and reporting to the Manager of Student Recruitment to provide insight and seek advice regarding the travel schedule and budget;
