We are currently looking for an experienced **Human Resources Coordinator **to join our team. **This position will be Mat Leave Coverage ( Around 1 year: December 2024- December 2025).**

**Responsibilities**:

- **Employee Onboarding and Offboarding**: Coordinate the onboarding process for new employees, which may include paperwork completion, orientation sessions, and training on safety procedures. Also, manage the offboarding process ensuring that exit interviews are conducted, and all necessary paperwork is completed. **Recruit for all levels of the organization.**:

- **Policy Development and Implementation**: Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures related to safety, such as workplace safety guidelines, emergency procedures, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., OSHA regulations).
- **Training and Development**: Organize and conduct safety training sessions for employees, including topics such as hazard identification, emergency response, and proper equipment usage. Additionally, may provide training on HR-related topics such as sexual harassment prevention or diversity and inclusion.
- **Recordkeeping and Reporting**: Maintain accurate records related to safety incidents, training sessions, and compliance activities. Prepare and submit reports to management or regulatory agencies as required.
- **Conflict Resolution and Employee Relations**: Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding safety concerns or HR-related issues. Address conflicts or disputes in a timely and professional manner, following established protocols and promoting a positive work environment.
- **Continuous Improvement Initiatives**: Identify opportunities for improvement in safety practices and HR processes. Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to implement enhancements and monitor their effectiveness.
- **Manage job postings**: Indeed, Linkden, etc.
- **Conduct phone call and in person interviews.**:

- **Communication**:Liaise with project managers, construction supervisors, and field supervisors to understand their staffing needs.
- **Position requires on call 24/7.**

**Requirements and Qualifications**:

- Thorough understanding of Alberta labour standards.
- Human Resources experience is an asset.
- Must be organized and able to deal with multiple personalities.
- WCB Claims Management Experience.
- Be proficient with Microsoft Office.
- General understanding of equipment operating and earthworks is considered an asset.
- Must be comfortable talking to strangers.
- Must have experience with interviewing both on the phone and in person.
