Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
Microsoft 365 Administration:
- Manage and administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
- Handle user account management, permissions, licensing, and access control.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Microsoft 365 services, ensuring security and compliance.
Server Management:
- Administer and maintain physical and virtual servers, including Windows Server environments.
- Ensure system availability, performance, and security through regular updates, patching, and backups.
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core infrastructure services.
Virtualization (VMware & Hyper-V):
- Oversee virtualized environments using VMware and Hyper-V, including the creation, configuration, and maintenance of virtual machines.
- Perform migrations, backups, and disaster recovery planning for virtual infrastructure.
- Optimize and scale virtual environments to meet business needs.
Networking & Security:
- Configure and maintain network switches, VLANs, port security, and traffic management.
- Administer and configure firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, Sophos), including rule management and VPN setup.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity and optimize performance while ensuring strong security practices.
Client Solutions & Presentations:
- Analyze business requirements and design tailored IT solutions, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
- Prepare and present technical solutions to clients, clearly communicating benefits, implementation strategies, and timelines.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to refine proposals and gain approval for IT infrastructure upgrades or enhancements.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain thorough documentation of network configurations, server setups, and processes.
- Provide regular reports on system performance, usage statistics, and issue resolution.
- Support audits and compliance activities by maintaining detailed records of system changes and configurations.
User Support & Training:
- Provide advanced (2nd and 3rd level) technical support to resolve user issues.
- Train staff and clients on new systems and best practices, particularly around Microsoft 365 and security protocols.
- Work closely with the IT support team to ensure timely resolution of incidents.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in IT systems administration, including Microsoft 365, server management, and networking.
- Proficiency in Windows Server environments and Active Directory management.
- Hands-on experience with VMware and Hyper-V for virtual infrastructure management.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and experience with network switches and firewalls.
- Ability to design and present technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with system backups, disaster recovery, and security best practices.
