Systems Administrator

SinaLite is a family owned business which has been operating since 1999. What started as a small 1,200 square-foot print shop which operated a single small AB-Dick printer has blossomed into a company of 150+ employees, containing several million dollars worth of printing equipment, and achieving a yearly sales revenue of 40+ million with over 20,000+ customers across North America.

Key Duties:

- Install, configure, and maintain servers, hardware, software, and network components to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, implementing solutions and providing technical support as needed.
- Perform regular system backups, updates, and patches to ensure data integrity and protection against potential threats.
- Collaborate with other IT professionals and cross-functional teams to support project implementation and ongoing maintenances
- Develop, document, and maintain IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistent and efficient operations.
- Continuously research and evaluate new technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve the overall IT infrastructure and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Train and mentor junior team members and provide guidance on technical matters.
- Act as the point of contact for IT-related issues and provide timely and efficient resolution.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, including data protection and privacy laws.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in system administration, network administration, or a similar role.
- 2+ years of Administration of Google Workspace.
- Administration of Palo Alto Firewall and VPN Clients with Duo would be an asset.
- Use of help desk ticketing system would be an asset.
- 2+ years of client facing experience would be an asset.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems, particularly Windows and Linux, as well as networking concepts and protocols.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies, cloud computing, and various IT tools, such as remote monitoring and management (RMM) systems.
- Proficiency in scripting languages, such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python, is an advantage.
- Experience with database management and administration, including SQL and NoSQL systems.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and projects effectively.
- Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), are preferred.
- The IT System Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring an organization's IT infrastructure is robust, secure, and efficient. They must be adept at managing various tasks, staying current with emerging technologies, and collaborating with other professionals to support the organization's goals

Working Conditions:

- Intensive computer work and extended use of the computer keyboard and mouse.
- Sitting for prolonged periods of time - up to 8+ hours per day.
- Occasional lifting of objects up to 20 lbs.
- Work area may have fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
- Noise level is usually moderate to loud.
- Exposure to ink and chemical fumes, and airborne particles such as paper dust and drying powder.
- Appearance at all times must represent the company image.
- Additional hours may be required due to operational requirements and unforeseen circumstances.
- Willing to be reached by cell phone to accommodate operational IT requirements.
- Changing temperature conditions to perform IT and/or operational tasks.
- Confined areas to perform IT and/or operational tasks.
