**Position Scope**:
The System Administrator (SA) is responsible for effective provisioning. Installation/configuration, operation, and maintaining systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. SA ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and Partners. SA is accountable for the following systems: Linux, Windows systems, ESXI, Virtual machines and Monitoring systems.
**Requirements**:
- Completion of a University degree or College diploma in Computer Science or equivalent educational experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an enterprise networking environment.
- Certification/Completion of multiple networking courses such as Microsoft, VMWare, Veeam, etc.
- Extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of Identity/Access management and directory services; monitoring software; disaster recovery disciplines and best practices.
**Key Skills**:
Strong ability to analyze and solve problems, ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships, interpersonal communications, collaboration, customer-centricity, initiative, integrity.
Reporting to the IT Manager, responsibilities include implementing and maintaining infrastructure services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NPS, WSUS, SCCM2k12 and Office 365, managing backups, implementation and maintaining virtualization infrastructure and data storage systems.
- Day to day maintenance and implementation of VMWare infrastructure.
- Optimized Veeam via the implementation of PowerShell scripts to customize backup jobs of production servers and improve disaster recovery.
- Upgraded VMWare infrastructure from version 5.0 to 7 to achieve higher performance and greater scalability by integrating the Hypervisors to EMC UNITY SAN Storage.
- Designed and implemented Fabric infrastructure for the newly purchased storage system and managed the data migration from multiple legacy storage devices to EMC.
- Controlling and arranging preventative maintenance based on the best practices and received alerts from various implemented monitoring systems in place such as PRTG, Zabbix and Solarwinds.
- Recreate and updated SOPs such as new mailbox creation, mailbox and mailbox database growth control, user enrollment.
Pay: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
