**Role Overview**

SecondShop is seeking an experienced Business Development Representative - Liquidation & Wholesale to accelerate our wholesale growth by moving large inventory volumes quickly across a range of categories. This role focuses on cultivating relationships with liquidation and wholesale partners across Canada, selling both appliances and general commodities (from outdoor furniture and kayaks to household staples).

**What you’ll be doing**
- Develop and grow wholesale partnerships across liquidation, resale, and distribution channels in Canada.
- Manage sales of bulk inventory loads (half-truck and full-truck quantities) across appliances and general merchandise.
- Identify and activate new wholesale buyers, leveraging existing relationships to quickly build revenue.
- Source opportunities with Canadian liquidation stores, wholesale groups, and enterprise marketplaces (e.g., B-stock, re-stock, liquidity services).
- Expand into US wholesale networks to build future pipeline.
- Build and manage a book of business that balances consistent buyers with opportunistic bulk purchasers.
- Collaborate with internal operations and warehouse teams in BC, Calgary, and Toronto to ensure seamless load fulfilment.
- Track sales pipeline, revenue targets, and margin performance.
- Provide insight to leadership on market trends, buyer dynamics, and product category opportunities.

**Who we are looking for**
- 2+ years of experience in liquidation, wholesale distribution, or bulk B2B sales.
- Strong network of wholesale buyers and liquidation partners in Canada; ability to bring relationships from day one.
- Experience selling varied product categories and managing inventory with fluctuating condition and availability.
- Comfortable negotiating bulk deals and managing high-volume inventory movement.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills; able to close deals quickly while maintaining trust.
- Entrepreneurial and self-motivated; thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Location agnostic across Canada (Toronto preferred); BC and Calgary experience/contacts are valuable given warehouse presence.
- Not limited to appliance experience — generalist product background welcome.
