**key responsibilities**

- **General Shop Cleanup**

  • Regular sweeping of shop floors.
  • Cleaning and tidying workstations and common areas.
  • Emptying and managing trash bins.
  • Wiping down machinery and equipment.
  • Assisting with spill cleanups and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Keeping the yard area clean and orderly.
  • Ensuring walkways and access areas are clear and safe.

- **Washroom Cleaning**

  • Sanitizing and cleaning washroom facilities including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors.
  • Replenishing washroom supplies such as soap, towels, and toilet paper.
  • Reporting any maintenance issues or repairs needed in washroom facilities.

- **Lunchroom Cleaning**

  • Sweeping and mopping lunchroom floors.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting tables, chairs, and countertops.
  • Cleaning the interior of refrigerators, microwaves, and sinks.

- **Additional Duties**

  • Conducting routine inspections to identify areas requiring attention.
  • Reporting any safety hazards or concerns to the supervisor.
  • Assisting with seasonal tasks such as weed and snow removal.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.

**qualifications**

  • Previous janitorial or cleaning experience, particularly in an industrial or shop environment, is preferred.
  • Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Good physical condition and strength; capable of lifting up to 40 pounds and standing for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, and safe handling practices.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends.
  • Effective communication skills.

**Work Environment**: This position requires working in a variety of environments including a fabrication shop, washrooms, and outdoor yard. The role may involve exposure to dust, chemicals, and loud noises, for which appropriate safety gear will be provided.

Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by the Company from time to time; you agree to comply with the Company’s employment policies and practices, written or oral, which may be implemented or amended by the Company from time to time in its sole discretion.

**Salary**: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
