This will involve working in in various assignments throughout the shift including but not limited to “assisting in the operation of the (CNC) brake press; the PEM® fastener insertion machine, shear, bandsaw, drill press, tapping arm, general material handling and the deburring of finished pieces of metal. Absolutely required of the position is having the flexibility to navigate the different areas of the metal shop as needed and quite often on a short notice basis. You will work in a manner that promotes the highest levels of quality and productivity and always represents our organization in a professional way while you are working.

Core duties on the afternoon shift will involve being “teachable and having the capability and experience to do what ever needs to be done in a sheet metal shop. You will have specific working knowledge of various specialized labor assignments in your past from working in a sheet metal shop.

**Do you feel like you are the right person for the job?** In return for your hard work, you will be paid a starting wage of **$ 25** per hour plus $ 2.00 per hour shift differential, Receive an attractive benefit package and enjoy the advantage of working a compressed 4 day work week, Monday through Thursday from 330 PM to 200 AM.

While this is an afternoon shift, your first two months with the company will involve training on the day shift under the supervision of an approved mentor in the workplace.

**Responsibilities**
- Assisting the primary operator with braking/forming in a custom sheet metal/precision sheet metal setting with the overall goal of being trained to become a primary operator.
- Working with various other sheet metal equipment in the shop included but not limited to the CNC punching, shear, PEM® fastener insertion machine, band saw, deburring, drilling, tapping and related brake press equipment.
- Operating other related metal working equipment and general assistance with shop housekeeping, labor and general cleaning.
- Having the ability to operate the forklift or capability of being trained.

**Qualifications**
- 2-3 Years' general experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Previous basic experience as a Brake Press Assistant and Material Handling.
- Demonstrated aptitude for continuous learning.
- A Demonstrated commitment to a safety first attitude.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficient in the use of the English language.
- Strong organizational and reasoning skills
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and tasks and accomplish work safely in a time sensitive environment
- A Valid Standard First Aid Certificate, forklift operation and overhead crane are considered definite assets.
- Able to work in a physical and mental capacity within a shop facility and are capable of lifting 50lbs.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and positive attitude. Ability to deal effectively with a variety of personalities.

- Isolated evening shift hours 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM
