Primoris Canada is a infrastructure contractor serving major firms in the oil, gas, power, petrochemical, and heavy oil industries and include services covering tailings and hydro-transport pipeline construction and maintenance, storage tank construction and maintenance, industrial facilities multi-discipline construction and maintenance, piping fabrication, and pipeline integrity services.

**SUMMARY**

The Materials Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of fab shop project material requirements and incoming material expediting. This position is the main contact for any materials related questions (freight information, tracking shipments, incoming inventory, material requisitions, equipment requisitions, shipping coordination, etc.).

**Location**: Edmonton Fabrication Shop

**Position**: Full time

**JOB DUTIES**
- Fill material requests for purchasing and coordinate with purchasing for timely awards.
- Ensuring 100% of materials are ordered and tracked to completion for each work order or project.
- Expedite outstanding materials meet the required delivery time
- Work with vendors and PSC team to identify and resolve issues.
- Document the withdrawal of materials for use from our on-site inventory
- Maintain rental and material logs

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 1 - 3 years of experience in a similar role would be considered an asset (applicable education may be considered in place of experience)

**SKILLS**
- Strong organization skills and detail orientated
- Self-motivated and assertive
- Excellent communicator
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Skilled in utilizing MS Office programs, specifically Excel, word, and outlook
- Ability to read blueprints/isometric drawings and details to understand scope of work would be considered an asset
- Familiar with pipe and fitting materials would be considered an asset
- Familiar with a formal QA program would be considered an asset
- Familiar with procurement and project management process would be considered an asset
