_**Goal/Purpose**:_

To enable residents to obtain treatment at the clinic by portering them to and from clinic area.
- **Major Responsibilities/Duties**:_

1. Report to clinic receptionist and obtain a list of residents that have appointments for the day.

2. Proceed to floor and locate resident/nursing staff to help locate residents and their chart

3. Advise a nursing staff member that you are taking the resident to the clinic for an appointment.

4. Porter resident to the clinic ( two walking and one wheelchair maximum at one time).

5. Return residents to floor when appointment is done, notify nursing staff on the floor when residents is returned.

6. Wear ID badge while on duty

7. Maintain resident confidentiality at all times.

8. Will be encouraged to attend volunteer development session.

Qualifications: Ability to communicate in english, knowledge of walker/wheelchair safety, comfort in working with those with cognitive impairments & frail residents, dependable, calm, patient, pleasant manner, work under mínimal supervion.
