**St. Joseph’s Villa Dundas is** **currently se**eking a Program Assistant for the Adult Day Program. This position has full-time reduced hours, which are approximately 50 to 51 hours per pay.**

**The Role**:

- Perform all duties in accordance with the Mission Statement, Philosophy and Objectives of St. Joseph’s Villa and with Administrative Policies and Procedures
- Conducts, assists and occasionally plans programs in response to individual and group needs and interests
- Provides individual clients with personal care assistance as required ie: toileting, dressing, showering, feeding, etc.
- Ambulates, mobilizes, and transfers clients according to established care plan
- Works collaboratively with other departmental staff, students and volunteers to ensure continuity and consistency in services
- Assists with the preparation of the programs physical environment and maintenance of the activity area
- Maintains accurate statistics and participation records, completes client documentation in accordance to established departmental Ministry Standards
- Participates in client /caregiver conferences as required
- Attend departmental staff meetings and educational sessions as required
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience working in an Adult Day Program is an asset
- Health Care Aide or Personal Support Worker certificate is required
- Good interpersonal and communication skills are an asset
- Training in Dementia Care an asset
- Experience working with young individuals with different disabilities/mental health is an asset
- Minimum Grade 12 education is required
