**Job Description **Front of House Assistant

The City of Port Moody is looking for an outgoing, energetic, independent and service-oriented individual to assist the Cultural Services Department on an Auxiliary basis. This position will provide Front of House services to Inlet Theatre.

The Front of House Assistant provides customer service and ensures patron safety at Inlet Theatre. This position will act as the first point of contact for the public during Inlet Theatre events, collect tickets and attend to seating related issues in the theatre, manage the smooth operation of the concession area and will assist theatre clients with their set-up and clean-up in the Galleria. This position will also provide special events assistance and general support for City events.

Hours of work will consist mostly of evenings and weekends with the occasional weekday shift.

**Basic Qualifications**:

- Grade 12 and some job related experience bartending and serving food
- “Serving It Right” Certificate for alcoholic beverage service
- Foodsafe Level 1 Certificate is an asset
- Knowledge of theatre and / or experience coordinating special events
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal/communications skills
- Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to deal with difficult customers
