- Job Description The Team Sports division focuses on the power of the athlete. From athlete representation to industry-leading marketing deal negotiation, we help build our clients’ brands and drive business across our worldwide talent roster. Representing over 400+ athletes across the NBA, WNBA, NHL, NFL, MLB and Olympics, we are fortunate to work with some of the best and brightest in sport.

This person will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day needs of the talent marketing team, agents, clients, and client service team members and to accomplish client related sales and marketing initiatives. This includes market research and participation in new business development efforts - such as outbound prospecting for sales leads to secure client partnership/endorsement deals.

Responsibilities:

- This position will report directly into the Senior Director of Talent Marketing in the Team Sports department
- Maintain an ongoing understanding of Wasserman’s Team Sports clients’ business and competitive environment
- Work closely with talent marketing team to assist in generating revenue across the Team Sports vertical
- Support in the building of sales target lists and cold outreach for prospective client partnerships
- Update marketing material and create brand pitches as needed
- When applicable, attend media events, marketing activations, and other event with clients
- Assist with departmental tasks and special projects as needed

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree (sports management, sales, marketing business administration, comm., or other applicable major). Sports-related field is highly preferred. Graduate degree is a plus.
- Well-developed administration, communication, and writing skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Detail oriented and strong ability to problem solve
- Must be customer service focused to provide the best possible support to clients and internal team members.
- Requires considerable flexibility in scheduling and the willingness to work nights and weekends
- Ability to prospect and research marketing partnerships on behalf of the clients
- Requires a passion for sports and business
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite a plus
- Strong understanding of social/digital media
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills
- Requires self-management and project management abilities
- Ability to build strong, lasting relationships internally and externally
- Ability to anticipate problems and manage expectations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all situations.
