Greenwood is seeking a dedicated and collaborative team member to join our Athletics team on a 1-year contract as the Coordinator, Greenspace & Athletics beginning in September .  The Coordinator, Greenspace & Athletics supports the planning and administration of the Athletic program as well as daily oversight of the Greenspace, including supervision, equipment management and scheduling support. A key element of this position will be to support community safety both when using and travelling to and from the Greenspace. Reports To: Director, Athletics Specific Responsibilities Oversee daily operations and supervision of Greenwood’s Greenspace to ensure a safe, inclusive, and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors. Support the planning and coordination of athletic practices, games, and tournaments, including liaising with coaches, students, and guests. Assist in the scheduling and communication of Greenspace use for curricular, co-curricular, and community activities. Monitor student safety during transit to and from the Greenspace, implementing and modeling safe travel procedures in alignment with school protocols. Serve as an on-site contact for emergency response at the Greenspace, supporting first aid and incident reporting processes as needed. Support the setup and takedown of equipment and facilities for athletic events and practices. Collaborate with Facilities and Athletics staff to identify and address maintenance needs in a timely manner. Participate in the ongoing evaluation and improvement of athletic and Greenspace policies, procedures, and risk management practices. Support athletics, recreation and the use of the Fitness Room at Greenwood as required. Required Knowledge, Skills and Attributes Educational background in Sport & Recreation Management, Sport Administration, Athletic Administration, or relevant administrative experience in organized sports, coaching, or camps (asset). Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate athletics and recreation programs and curriculum. Knowledge of athletic program operations, equipment management, and student safety protocols in outdoor and off-campus settings. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with both staff and students. Receptive to direction and feedback. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to coordinate schedules, spaces, and logistics effectively. Ability to assess and respond to safety concerns and emergencies in a calm, proactive manner. Comfortable working outdoors in varied conditions and handling physical tasks related to equipment setup and supervision.
