Job Posting Athletic Therapist Job Title: Athletic Therapist Dates: June 22 – Sept 2, 2026 – Work 4 weeks or all 10 Rate: $800 per week The athletic therapist plays a leading role in our campers’ and staff’s health and safety, particularly in treating acute and ongoing sports-related injuries. General Responsibilities: Ensure that campers and staff with medical needs are properly cared for. Handle first aid and athletic injuries and issues of campers and staff as they arise. Ensure that safety and health regulations are strictly adhered to. Assist with the general camp community as time permits. Specific Responsibilities: Assist in the organization and setting up of the Health Centre. Be on-site for daily clinic hours as established by the Head Nurse. Provide daily athletic therapy and medical care for campers and staff as required. Assess and treat acute musculoskeletal issues and utilize the local Medical Centre / Hospital if necessary. Train Health Centre staff in preventative taping and bracing techniques. Participate in maintaining the log of campers and staff who receive medical attention in our camp management system. Coordinate with the Head Nurse to communicate with parents/guardians regarding campers who require medical treatment. Monitor Health Centre supplies and report to the Head Nurse when supplies need to be restocked. Assist in reviewing all medical forms before registration day to discuss current and potential medical needs with parents, at the instruction of the Head Nurse. Keep the Health Centre clean and orderly. Learn emergency action plans for all camp emergencies. Be on call and prepared to participate/take a lead role in crisis management/emergency response. Required Qualifications: Certified Athletic Therapist who has maintained status with the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association. 4th year student also allowed. Have liability insurance. Current CPR and First Aid certification. Vulnerable Sector Background Check. Valid G driver’s license. Excellent working skills, including communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
