Our Business Development Representatives search for opportunities in an assigned geographic area, with an intense focus on increasing the density of clients in their specific territory. Our BDR will identify prospects and make cold calls to initiate sales and business development meetings. This competitive and rewarding role is ideal for a highly self-motivated sales closer. It is compensated by an uncapped commission structure along with an attractive base salary.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Business Development Rep**:

- Develop a list of potential prospective accounts and key contacts.
- Handle objections effectively and seek to close a sale or establish next steps.
- Cold call companies in proximity of clients to build business and grow density of the market.
- Demonstrate excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Meets or exceeds sales activity goals for new sales and customer service.
- Enter intelligence gathered into a CRM system to understand client, contacts, customer needs.
- Look for opportunities for ongoing roll-offs and front load service offerings (waste, recycling, and organics collections).
- Present the companies services, advantages and pricing.
- Formulate as favorable service offering in terms for the customer and company to establish a long-term partnership
- Present terms clearly and transparently to the customer
- Obtain customers signature on service agreement and pass to a Manager for approval and operations.

**Requirements and Qualifications for a Business Development Representative**:

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration **or equivalent experience**:

- A self-motivated individual that goes nonstop until successful
- 3-5 years’ experience working in outside (hunter) sales roles with a proven record of success preference for 2 years contract sales experience (I.E. copiers, uniforms, etc.)
- Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Works well with other team members.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (word, power point, excel, etc.)
- Knowledge of a CRM tools is a benefit.
- A Thorough knowledge of the waste and or recycling industry and competitors’ practices to find opportunities, estimate weights and pricing, and handle objections will be an asset.
- Good numeracy skills to estimate pricing and calculate margins.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and the ability to operate his/her own vehicle

**Other Conditions We Require**:
This is a field position, and the successful individual will want to make a difference in the Waste and Recycling Industry to offer a transparent and high level of service, while ensuring our customers are top priority and helping build a successful business from the ground up.

Pay: $50,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
