**Administrative Assistant**:
**General Responsibilities**:
The Administrative Assistant provides secretarial, clerical and administrative support to assist in ensuring administrative services are provided in an effective and efficient manner.
**Organizational Relationships**:
The Administrative Assistant reports directly to the Office Manager and works with the administrative team.
**Specific Roles, Responsibilities &Functions**:
- Reception duties - screen and direct calls, take and relay messages
- enter payments received and prepare bank deposits
- make collection calls on overdue accounts
- enter accounts payable invoices and prepare cheque runs
- enter shipment details and do invoice runs
- scan and index mill test reports for received material
- print mill test reports for outgoing material
- maintain accurate filing system for all records
- assistance with health and safety, and QA documentation
- general administrative and clerical support
- maintain a tidy reception area
- possible drop off or pick up of material or bank deposits
- Adhere to Quality, Health and Safety requirements, company policies, ISO standards and directives.
- Work as a contributing team member, establish good relations within the company, with an emphasis on morale and teamwork attitude and carry out the position in a professional manner.
- Other duties as requested/directed.
**Additional Skills/Knowledge**:
- Efficient typing speed and neat/legible handwriting
- Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards.
- Able to perform business math (basic algebra, compute rate, ratio, ect.)
- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- Able to work independently with some direction.
- Effective listening/communication skills with superior telephone etiquette
- Capable of following written and verbal instructions and procedures.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
- Able to handle difficult customers with diplomacy and tact.
- Knowledge of company utilized software and Microsoft office.

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
