dynamic individual to join our team as a Regional Sales Manager in Canada East (Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic

Canada).

The RSM is responsible for managing the sales activities for Hayward in a specific geographical area. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for developing new customers and driving sales throughout the territory. Supports key pool builders/dealers/distributors and works closely with the Hayward Industries sales and service forces to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manages remote sales team throughout the region who call on distributors, dealers, builders, OEM's and prospective customers to obtain new business and expand existing business. Also, they may conduct sales activities in a specific territory within the region.
- Manages the selection and development of dealers and distributor outlets throughout the region.
- Assign sales territories and districts to assigned sales representatives.
- Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales programs.
- Mentors the Ontario DSM team and supports direct reports in achieving their territory objectives
- Coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.
- Advises dealers and distributors concerning sales, advertising techniques and campaigns.
- Formulates sales plans, which incorporate marketing strategy regarding target market segment within a specific geographic area.
- Analyzes sales statistics to assist dealers/distributors in promoting sales. - Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes salable features.
- Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and develops sales campaigns to accommodate goals of company.
- Represents Company at trade shows and trade association meetings to promote products.
- Coordinates liaison between customer service department, technical service and others as appropriate.
- Analyzes and controls expenditures of assigned region to conform to budgetary requirements.
- Develops and implements an annual sales plan for the region, including sales strategy, to maximize return from he region's assigned accounts/geographic area and to meet the region's sales quotas established by the Director of Sales.
- Develops and maintains a comprehensive list and profile of key accounts and contacts (direct and indirect) in a computerized database such as Salesforce.
- Responsible for training sales staff regarding both sales techniques and product knowledge.
- Additional training for dealer and distributor sales representatives. Assist other departments within the organization to prepare manuals and technical publications.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing.

Qualifications:
Capabilities/Qualifications:

- A minimum of 10 years’ related sales experience.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive long distances and travel by plane
- Personal computer skills and mechanical capability are essential.
- Familiarity with automated control systems, basic electricity, plumbing hydraulics and/or water chemistry is an asset.

Language Skills:
Bilingual in French Canadian a plus
